Darryl Robertson completed JIE’s gateway course Genres of Academic Writing under particularly challenging circumstances, but he managed to get to the top of the class. He is currently the Senior Culture Editor at Esquire where he is responsible for driving traffic for the entertainment section of Esquire’s website. He assigns and edits profiles, oversees the Q&A section, and edits and writes daily news stories.
Darryl recently wrote “Florida’s Stop Woke Act is latest in a long history of censoring Black scholarship” for the online publication, Andscape.
