The latest from Camilla Broderick

Camilla Broderick graduated summa cum laude (4.0 GPA) with a BA in criminology from John Jay in Spring 2021 and is starting at Columbia’s School of Social Work in September 2022. Camilla spent the last year working at Midtown Community Court (MCC) as a community navigator on the Community First team, which is a diversion program aimed to help meet unhoused individuals “where they are at” in the community. Her team comprises individuals with lived experience who use their experience to guide others to resources in the area. She has also been heading the harm reduction efforts at MCC. Currently, Camilla helps run the Fellowship Program at Rikers Debate Project. She is five years off her release and is applying for her certificate of good conduct. Camilla is engaged and getting married next summer!
