Louis Gonzalez currently serves as the Building Operations Manager for the Jericho Project, a nationally-acclaimed nonprofit ending homelessness at its roots by enabling formerly homeless or at-risk individuals and families to lead independent lives.
Originally from the Bronx, Louis became a Justice-in-Education Scholar in the Fall of 2018 after hearing about the program from his employers at the Jericho Project. He appreciates the Justice-in-Education Initiative for the community that the program provided, embracing him as one of their own.
Previously, Louis served as the Senior Case Manager at Goodwill Industries of New York and Northern New Jersey. He has also worked as a Service Coordinator at Group Health Incorporated and as an Intake Specialist and Counselor for East Harlem Council for Community Improvement.
A father of four, Louis aims to continue his education by earning a degree and representing his family. He hopes his example will inspire future generations.
