Darryl Epps Jr. is a member of the Summer 2017 Justice in Education (JIE) cohort and Cornell
Prison Education Project (CPEP). Darryl has counseled and worked with at-risk youth for
thirteen years, and designed introspective programs geared towards assisting incarcerated
adolescence in the process of reorganizing their thoughts and lives. Darryl’s passion for youth
intervention and advocacy has inspired him to pursue an undergrad degree in psychology and a
Licensed master’s in Social Work. Darryl is taking a psychology class at Columbia, and hopes to
be a fully matriculated student at Columbia by Spring or Fall 2019.
