The Beyond the Bars Fellowship offers students and community members impacted by incarceration an interdisciplinary leadership development opportunity. This program helps to deepen and expand their identity, analysis, skills, and network toward ending mass criminalization and incarceration and creating a more just and safe world through restorative, transformative, and healing practices.

The Fellowship will be held in person and will meet weekly from October 2026 through April 2027 at the Columbia School of Social Work (CSSW).
