Michael Rondo Bonilla
Michael Rondo Bonilla
My name is Michael Bonilla, and I am a dedicated 22-year-old criminal justice reform activist who has been directly impacted by the system. I’ve made it my mission to be a voice for change and to stand as an example of resilience and progress. I am joining this cohort because I am passionate about bettering my life academically, and I believe that furthering my education will empower me to have an even greater impact in my advocacy work.

Coming from a neighborhood where it’s rare to see someone actively involved in criminal justice reform or pursuing opportunities within the space of an Ivy League school, I aim to be the beacon of hope that others can look to. My experiences have shaped my belief that real change starts with knowledge and action, and I want to inspire others to believe that transformation is possible, no matter where they come from.

My ultimate goal is to obtain a degree or some form of academic achievement that will help me not only in my personal growth but also in advancing my work within the criminal justice reform space. I’m committed to using my education and life experiences to create a lasting impact and inspire others to pursue similar paths of change and opportunity.
