The Case for Releasing Inmates from Prison During Covid-19

There is one crucial step that Governor Cuomo could take to save the lives of thousands of people in NYC: releasing people from prison.
Sean Kyler, who spent 24 years in prison and earned his college degree inside at Sing Sing through Hudson Link, reports for the Huffington Post. He writes,
There is a prison saying that goes like this: “If I am going to die in prison, please give me a chance to fight.” There is no fight to be waged against COVID-19 behind bars. Prisons are not designed for any of the policies we rely on to “flatten the curve.”
